Overview
Calligraphy is meditative and timeless art form that transforms a simplest writing with an air of sophistication. We all admire grace and elegance of gorgeous handwriting and think it's a special skills that only a few artistically inclined person poses. But you can also learn the simple strokes of calligraphy and watercolor floral to decorate personalized birthday or wedding invitation, greetings card, gift-wrapping for family and friends.
So let's pick up a brush pen and dive into the world of artistic hand-lettering and floral designs to rediscover the lost art of 'beautiful writing'.
Calligraphy with Floral Painting
We are pleased to announce an introduction to Brush Calligraphy painting, a course of 2 classes, in which under the guidance of an expert artist, you will learn aesthetically pleasing art of hand lettering and decorate it with watercolor florals.

In this workshop, you will learn - Introduction to Brush Calligraphy. - How to write in Calligraphy - Holding brush, strokes and techniques. - Anatomy of letters and form words with smooth connection - flowing through small alphabets and big alphabets. - Weight balance to develop symmetry and contrast. - Different brush strokes in florals. - Drawing leaf and branches. - Floral Wreath and Flower Making. - Create an art work combining Calligraphy and Florals in watercolor.
* Class is suitable for beginners as well as one with painting experiences.
* Fee is inclusive of taxes.
* Seats are limited to maintain small-group of participants to ensure personal attention from the trainer. Please book in advance.
Materials Required
- A4 - 8 X 10 inches or 10 X 12 inches size white watercolor art paper. You may use good quality Grid Pad/Line Notebook also.
- Watercolor Cakes/Tubes.
- Brush pens (Gel Brush Pen) if not using watercolor.
- Round brush- 0, 2 AND 4 size. Flat brush of 1.5, 4, 8, 12. Color palette/big plate, 2 mug Water.
- Tracing Paper.
- Pencil, scale, erasers.
- Waste Cloth, tissue paper for cleaning.
- 2 or 3 extra plain paper for practice.
.About The Artists:
Chetna and Nilofer are professional calligrapher artists and graphic designers. Writing has always been Chetna's favourite things to do as she is fascinated by the sound, when pen meets paper. Chetna worked as a Graphic Designer specialising in type and pattern design and for last 5 years she is a full-time Calligraphy artist. She is an author of the self-learning guide - A Beginner's Guide to Calligraphy. Nilofer, a graphic designer by profession, loves how the water and paints mix on the paper and complete a story, creating a picture without a blueprint behind. She loves teaching and want people to take up art more.
