Overview
One Stroke painting is an interesting decorative painting technique that involves loading a brush with two or three separate colors and achieving shading, highlighting, and blending in a single stroke movement. Donna Dewberry from USA is the inventor of this artform.
One stroke painting is used to create multi-coloured floral and vibrant botanical strokes that embellish any ordinary, smooth surface, such as glass, canvas, wood, paper, fabric etc. The flat or angular brushes are double and triple loaded with color all at once, to produce the highlight, body colour, depth, gradient and shadow of the petal, leaf, butterflies, trees or berries to birds with a single stroke of the brush. This painting technique has become very popular because you can learn it very quickly and easily to create amazing, perfectly blended, multi-toned works of art .
