Overview

As long as artists have been making art, the landscape drawing has been part of it. Whether it’s meadows and grassland, rolling mountains or vastness of an ocean, we have a natural desire to capture the world around us.

Sketching nature is one of the most amazing, most worthy and indeed, most challenging subjects. Shading, hatching or cross-hatching with pencil can give tone to your landscape drawing and if you know blending techniques, you can create incredibly detailed and realistic drawing of nature's beauty around you.

On a 2 days comprehensive pencil sketching workshop, You will learn sketching 2 different nature and landscape painting

- Painting 1: Seascape Landscape with Lighthouse, Ocean, Waves, Boat, Trees, Sky, Cloud.

- Painting 2: Birds Flying to the Nest.


Nature Landscape Sketching with Pencil

We are pleased to announce - Landscape Sketching, course of 2 classes. In this course you will learn fundamentals of beautiful, realistic Pencil Painting with simple technique under the guidance of an expert artist.

You will learn -
1. Pencil grade and how to use them.
2. Planning composition, study the scenery and thumbnail sketching of landscape
3. Landscape Painting: its balances and contrasts of line, shape, tone, color, pattern, texture and form.
4. Techniques of sketching moving or flying objects
5. Techniques of shading, blending and layering to build up tonal values and intensity.
6. Creating natural texture using pencil - Ocean waves, sky, distant cloud, grass, trees.
7. Apply your learning to draw 2 different sketches of a beautiful ocean-scape and nature sketching.

Materials Required

- A3 size white thick art paper( 200+ GSM preferred). Good to use textured paper.

- Sketching Pencil: 2B 4B 6B 8B 10B.

- Scale, cutter/Sharpener, Kneaded erasers/ white vinyl eraser .

- Cloth or tissue paper to clean fingers.

- 2 or 3 extra plain paper for practice.


About The Artist:

Avanish Trivedi, has learned art from Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata. He started painting in his early 20s and is pursuing his passion of painting for more than 14 years now. He has picked up Calcutta nostalgia as the central theme for most of his artworks. He paints landscapes/ portraits /Landscape and has done exhibition in many famous art galleries of India and abroad. His paintings are being collected across 19 countries. Avanish finds painting to be calming activity, he even found himself painting a lot during the lockdown. His journey inspires many to pick up the brush and start painting at any age.
