On a leisure tour specially designed for Senior Citizen considering the pace and comfort need, you and your elderly relative can spend couple of days at Kerala to rejuvenate body and mind with the peace and tranquility of this heavenly place.

Day 1: Kochi Arrival and Drive to Cherai Beach

Arrive at Kochi airport/ rail station from your hometown by morning/noon and proceed to Cherai beach which is around 1 hour drive. Figuring prominently amid the manifold attractions of Kerala are its mystical winding beaches. Among those, 'Cherai Beach', is evidently an eternal favorite with holiday-makers in Kerala. Upon arriving to Cherai beach, check in to the Hotel. Rejuvenate yourself at swimming pool and Ayurvedic Spa inside the resort. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and go for goodnight sleep.

Day 2: Drive to Alleppey and Houseboat stay

Wake up in the beautiful combination of sea and backwaters rimmed by lush green coconut palms and paddy fields. Go for a morning walk on the beach, which is rightly called the 'Princess of the Arabian Sea'.

Post Breakfast, drive down to the beautiful backwater of Alleppey to experience and discover the most fascinating Water World on Earth. Still more romantically known as Alleppey, Alappuzha is home to a vast network of waterways and more than 1000 houseboats. Wondering around the small and serene villages, meandering canals and rivers, you will undoubtedly agree to the sobriquet – Venice of the East, earned by Alappuzha.

Upon reaching, check-in to the houseboat, where you will be served lunch, prepared following authentic local cuisine. Spend leisure time gazing at graceful and greenery-fringed village life along the banks, float around in the splendor of the sparkling water and enjoy a memorable evening in the mesmerizing beauty of setting sun.

Day 3: Drive to Thekkaddy

Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary Accomodation: Deluxe or Premium Hotel Meals: Breakfast, Dinner (Veg/ Non-Veg)

Post breakfast check out from houseboat and proceed towards Thekkady or Periyar, the finest wildlife reserves in India. The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice-scented plantations. It' a different world of rubber, pepper, cardamom, clove, vanilla and tea plantations and dense forests.

In the afternoon, go for wild life river cruise in Periyar Lake. The splendid lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters

Day 4: Entralling Drive to Munnar

Munnar Accomodation: Deluxe or Premium Hotel Meals: Dinner (Veg/Non-Veg)

Wake up in the old forests of teak and acacia lay bathed in the warm glow of the morning sun. Post breakfast, drive to Munnar which is around 2.5 hour through enthralling waterfalls, lakes and tea plantation. On the way, visit spice plantation, for a tour to spice garden. See the trees of cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, clove, Star anise, Piper Nigrum, Vanilla Fragrans, Fennel, Fenugreek, Nutmeg & Mace and many other Herbal & Exotic Spices.

Once you reach Munnar by afternoon, check in to the hotel and go for a walk in Munnar town. Munnar, a haven of peace and tranquility, means three rivers and the town is located at the confluence of 3 mountain streams - Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala and surrounded by lash green Tea Plantation. Enjoy a spectacular performance of Kathakali dance in the evening at Munnar. Spend your time at leisure - buy spices, tea, scented oils/candles/soaps, ayurvedic medicines. Your dinner will be served at the hotel dining room.

Day 5: Munnar Sightseeing

Discover yourself in the misty morning of Munnar. Walk through the Tea gardens and enjoy the view of lush green mountains around you. Today we will visit some of the famous sightseeing places around Munnar.

Tea Factory: The museum set up at the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea in Munnar is a tribute to the toils and rigours of its pioneers, who showed utmost determination to transform Munnar into a major tea plantation centre of Kerala. Know about various stages of tea processing and making of green and black tea.

Mattupetty : Situated at a height of 1700 Mts , Mattupetty is famous for its highly specialized dairy farm, the Indo-swiss live stock project. Over 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared here. Visitors are allowed into three of the eleven cattle sheds at the farm.

In the evening, you may at your leisure enjoy an ayurvedic spa treatment and rejuvenate your body, mind and soul. Your dinner will be served at the hotel dining hall.

Day 6: Drive to Kochi and Sightseeing

Kochi Accomodation: Deluxe or Premium Hotel Meals: Breakfast, Dinner (Veg/ Non-Veg)

Today, post breakfast, drive down to Kochi. It will take 3 hours to reach Kochi. You may check in to the hotel, then at your leisure visit -

Dutch Palace: This Palace was built by the Portuguese and presented to the Raja of Cochin in 1555 A.D. Though built by the Portuguese, it is popularly known as the 'Dutch Palace' as the Dutch renovated it during their short reign here. The palace is well known for the mural paintings that adorn its walls.

Jewish Synagogue : Paradesi Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. It was built in 1568 by the Malabar Yehudan people or Cochin Jewish community in the Kingdom of Cochin. The synagogue is located in the quarter of Old Cochin known as Jew Town.

Spend time at Jews market and shop for jewelery made of semi-precious stone and cotton cloths. Return back to the hotel . Your dinner will be served at the hotel dining hall.

Day 7: Fly back Home

Hometown Accomodation: N/A Meals: Breakfast

In the morning proceed towards Kochi airport/ Railway Station. Bid goodbye and take with you memories of mesmerizing Kerala.

Fort Cochin Beach and Chinese Fishing Nets : The huge cantilevered Chinese fishing nets that that droop towards the waters like over-sized hammocks have become a hallmark that represents Fort Kochi on the tourist map. Chinese fishing nets - Cheenavala in Malayalam - is believed to have been introduced in Kochi by Chinese explorer Zheng He, from the court of the Kubla Khan. The fishing net established itself on the Kochi shores between 1350 and 1450 AD. The sight of the Chinese nets, suspended in midair and standing in line on the beaches, when silhouetted against the sunset is breathtakingly beautiful. It is, undoubtedly, one of the most photographed sights in Kochi. Return back to hotel for breakfast and check out from hotel around 11:00 am. Visit some of the famous Portuguese and Jews settlement in Kochi.

Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary : (PNP) is a protected area in the districts of Idukki, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta in Kerala, India. It is notable as an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve. The park is often called the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary or Thekkady which was declared as the Periyar National Park in 1982.

Idukki Dam : It is one of the highest arch dams in Asia. It was constructed by Kerala State Electricity Board.

Top Station : A tourist destination in the Kannan Devan hills of Munnar, Top Station is popular for the rare Neelakurinji flowers.

Mattupetty : One of the main attractions in Mattupetty is the beautiful lake, and the Mattupetty Dam, which are ideal picnic spots. The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), Idukki provides boating facilities in the Mattupetty Dam. Speed launch, slow speedboat and motorboats are available on hire. Other nearby places of interest includes the picturesque Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala Lake.

Of all the main attractions at Mattupetty is the dairy farm, run by the Indo-Swiss Livestock Project. The dairy farm is a unique one of its kind with several varieties of high-yielding cattle being reared.
