Post breakfast at Hotel, proceed to Egyptian museum, one of the world's finest and home to thousands upon thousands of treasures, each with their own story to tell. Gems and gold from King Tutankhamen's tomb, sculpted jackals, gilded crocodiles - faces of mysterious gods, weapons worn by warriors, early hieroglyphs faded on sandstone all sprawl across dozens of rooms and corridors.
In the afternoon, go for shopping at the Khan el Khalil Bazar where the calls of the traditional traders drift through the narrow lanes of colorful markets that stand beneath the majestic minarets of the 12th-century mosques. This narrow street of bazar was the trading centre and mall in the ancient age. From the Egyptian lanterns to the semiprecious stones, you get everything at this bazaar.
In the evening, admire the first view of the famous pyramids on a spectacular sound and light show with dramatic music and history of pharaohs, the story of the Sphinx, guardian of the Giza Necropolis for over 5000 years. After spending a mesmerizing evening recounting the history of ancient Egypt proceed to dinner.
After Breakfast at Hotel, it's time to explore the wonder of the world The Pyramids of Giza that rise out of the desert. The extraordinary shape with a huge cubicle stones, built as a massive tomb of pharaohs, stand majestically for nearly 4000 years. We will be accompanied by guide to Giza Plateau famous for the Great Pyramids of Kheops, Chefren and Mykerinus, Sphinx and Valley temple facing the great statue. Admire the view of Pyramids and take photos positing with Sphinx and Pyramids which are amoung seven wonders of the world. Post lunch, spend some time shopping Egyptian souvenir at Papyrus Institute and Cotton handicrafts.
In the afternoon, proceed to Cairo Airport for flight to Aswan for an adventure in the Upper Egypt along the Nile river. From the Aswan airport proceed to hotel for check-in and good sleep.
Wake up in Aswan - the seductive oasis town that epitomizes the tranquility of Sahara. Aswan has been southern Egypt's most strategic and commercial getaway since antiquity. As a Saharan trade post for the camel caravans, Aswan has been welcoming visitors for centuries. Wonder in the exquisite Temple of Philae on the island of Agilkia. Walk on the High Dam which separates Lake Nasser from the Nile and visit the granite quarries of thunfinished obelisk.
We shall spend afternoon on a traditional felucca boat sailing in the blue waves of Nile river. The desert wind will take us to the exotic green islands and flourishing oasis, a world frozen in time. Spend leisure time in the old-world markets where shops have been built from yellow desert stone, yet their facades change color with the moving sun. It's your time to relax and escape into a remote world to immerse yourself in this old-world tranquility and enchantment of Nile river cruise.
Today we begin our day very early and drive to Abu Simbel, one of the most incedible sights of Egypt. The two great 'Temples of Abu Simbel' stand in the far south of Egypt, guarded by giant sculptures of Ramesses II, the Egyptian pharaoh who ruled about 3200 years ago. As you walk down, six statues of the cow-headed goddess of love - Hathore will greet us at the Great Temple of Ra-Harakhte. Their eyes seem to follow us no matter where you stand, as the statues continue their role as gatekeepers. Admire the Temple of Ramses II which is impressive both inside and out with enormous facade and huge trove of bas-reliefs inside. Observe the fascinating details and intricate carvings that tell the story of Ramesses life - Ramesses sits on a throne of his enemies, Ramesses paying homage to the gods, sculpted figures of Libyans and Hittites, Ramesses on war.
Return back to Cruise and embark on the Nile cruise for an iconic experience. We shall visit the west bank of river Nile, the magnificant Temples of Edfu which is dedicated to the falcon-headed god - Horus and Temple of Kom Ombo that honors the crocodile god, with mummified crocodiles found close to the entrance.
The 2200 years old temple of Edfu is one of the best-preserved pharaonic monuments and took 180 years to complete. The entrance gate of the temple is monumental in scale, with the twin pylons measure an impressive 118 feet tall. Adorning the walls are reliefs depicting the Feast of the Beautiful Meeting, the annual reunion between Horus and his wife, Hathor. Return back to the cruise and continue cruising elegantly along the river as Antony and Cleopatra did so almost 2000 years ago.
Watch an ancient world dotted along the Nile river that slowly unravel as the morning sun rises. Post breakfast, proceed to the magnificant stepped Temple of Hatshepsut which is the masterpiece of architecture. Hatshepsut is the first women pharaoh who ruled for more than two decades. Admire the stepped platforms, pillars and vibrant reliefs set against the desert backdrop.
Ancient Egyptians believed that a setting sun symbolized the end of a life, so they buried their pharaohs and monarchs in tombs facing toward the west hidden in the mountains which is known as Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. During Egypt's New Kingdom (1539-1075 B.C.), the valley became a royal burial ground for pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramses II, as well as queens, high priests, and other elites of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynastie. The Valley of Kings has 63 magnificent royal tombs where you may descend into the mysterious atmosphere of King Tutankhamen's Tomb and admire the glistening treasures of King Ramesses VI's Tomb. Spend rest of the day by the Nile and enjoy the mesmerizing sunset.The sunrise over the River Nile is a striking sight as bands of color linger on the horizon with golden tones shimmering off of the blue water. In ancient Egyptian culture, the sun represented life. Since it rises in the east, the temples dedicated to the gods were constructed on the East Bank. Today post breakfast, we will proceed to the east bank of Nile and continue down the old Avenue of Sphinxes to the gigantic temple complex of Karnak and Luxor, where the golden stones glint beneath the desert sun. Admire the largest of all of Egypt's temples, the scale can only be comprehended when you stand in the main temple courtyard.
Proceed to Luxor Airport for flight back to Cairo. After a long day enjoy your dinner and good sleep.
Today we will be proceeding towards the Alexandria, founded by the Alexander the great in 330 B.C. The pharaohs light house was marked as the entrance of the ancient civilization and was one of the ancient seven wonders of the world. The great Library of Alexandria here was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. We shall visit Pompey's Pillar, 15th-century Citadel of Qaitbay, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Return back to Cairo and spend rest of the evening at leisure.
By now Egypt has amazed you in every aspect. After breakfast, bid farewell to the spectacular country. We shall travel to Cairo airport with group and return home with lifelong memories and unforgettable impressions of Egypt.
