Board flight/train from your home-town to reach pink city Jaipur by noon/afternoon. The wide boulevards of the old city are imperial remnants. Classic culture shines bright but pieces of the contemporary lifestyle seep through. Rickshaws wind around the streets and camels pull carts alongside the bustling avenues. Enjoy city's colorful streets that wane and flow with an intoxicating concoction of old and new, as we proceed to the hotel for check in. Today you will journey through the wonderful Pink of Jaipur that is wrapped around its romantic past in the mystical remains of the empire. As the morning mist welcomes you, post breakfast gear up to visit romantic Amer Palace. On the way, admire Jaipur's idiosyncratic landmark, the Hawa Mahal. It is an extraordinary fairy-tale, pink sandstone, carefully faveolated hive, constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the life and processions of the city.
Nestled in picturesque and rugged hills Amer Palace and Fort is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. One of the highlights the stunning Amer Fort is the chance to ride an elephant up the hill to the palace courtyard. The palace is constructed in red sandstone and consists of Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Sheesh Mahal and Jai Mandir. Visit Sukh Niwas where a cool climate is artificially created by winds that blow over a water cascade within the palace. This palace was declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
In the afternoon, we will visit Jaipur City Palace which was the official seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Later visit the biggest stone observatory in the world, Jantar Mantar. It is one of the five astronomical observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the founder of Jaipur.We will drive back to the hotel for dinner and good rest.
The day begins to brim with the ritual of morning light. The City Palace continues to shine pink and the aroma of chai masala emanates from the corner tea stands. Post breakfast, drive to Jodhpur and on the way stop at Pushkar. The charismatic town of Pushkar curls around a holy lake, which is said to have appeared when Brahma dropped a lotus flower. The town also hosts world renowned Brahma temples with 52 bathing Ghats and 400 milky-blue temples.
After paying homage to Lord Brahma we will head out for Ajmer. Encircled by rugged Aravalli's this city is an important site in terms of Islamic history and heritage. This miraculous city comprises of India's most important Muslim pilgrimage centers, the shrine of Khawaja Muin-ud-din Chishti, who founded India's prime Sufi order in India. Attend a special darshan to Moinuddin Chishti darga. In the evening, check in to the hotel and take good rest post dinner.As the morning sun rays shower blessings on you, relish a tasty breakfast and proceed to Jodhpur which was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rathore clan. He moved a disgruntled hermit from a cave in order to begin construction of the Mehrangarh Fort, which is one of the largest forts in India and was built in the mid-15th century by Rao Jodha.
Upon reaching Jodhpur, visit Umaid Bhawan Palace, an iconic structure built for Maharaja Umaid Singh, and is the last of its kind. In earlier times, the palace was known to be the ‘Chittar palace’ as it is located on Chittar hill (the highest point Jodhpur). It is a masterpiece of brilliant architecture and boasts of a wonderful mélange of Rajput and Victorian styles. The palace was constructed in order to provide employment to the poor and unemployed of the place. The Palace is one among the World’s largest private residences comprising 347 rooms. In today’s time, the main owner of the palace is Maharaja of Jodhpur, Gaj Singh. The palace is mainly divided into three compartments namely the Maharaja’s royal residence, a museum and a heritage hotel. In the evening, we shall proceed to hotel. Visit Jaisalmer – Golden Fort which was constructed by the renowned Rajput ruler Jaisal in 1156, at the majestic Trikuta hills. It is also known as Sonar Kila. Admire the vintage charm of Jain temples inside the fort. These temples dates back to 12th and 15th centuries built in Dilwara style dedicated to Rikhabdevji and Shambhavdev Ji, the famous Jain hermits. Enjoy the golden view of whole Jaisalmer city from the fort, as whole city is built in yellow sand stone and setting sun rays embracing the city gives it a name of ‘golden city’ of India.
In the afternoon, proceed to visit, Patwon Ki Haveli and Nath Ji Mal Ki Haveli. Located in the heart of the city these massive yellow sandstone structures were built by famous trader Guman Chand and his sons. Five-storied structure has intricately decorated huge suites. Stroll through the large corridors and the decorated walls which even now represent the art form of the ancient era. After admiring the grandeur and the architecture of the ancient monuments we drive back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
When the morning light hits the frescoes along the Golden Haveli you can imagine the glinting colors and images that have decorated the desert mansions for a century. Enjoy your breakfast and gear up for a spectacular ride all the way to Bikaner, a vivacious town that was once a desert outpost. The city was established in the year 1488 AD by Rao Bika Ji, a Rajput prince and famous for fabulous - Junagarh fort.
Bikaner is often almost identified by its popular bhujjias, Namkeens, Papads and Baris. Spend your evening at leisure at Bhujia Bazaar and taste world famous Bikaneri Bhujia with Kachori and the rasgullas. Starting from Ghevar, Mirchi Bada, Dal Baati Choorma, Khata, Kachori, Lasssi, and Jungle Maas along with various lip smacking dishes will welcome and turn you to be a foodie after your trip to Bikaner.
In the morning hour we will visit Junagarh Fort which was constructed in the year 1593 by Raja Rai Singh. It is believed that crocodiles were bred in the water moat surrounding the formidable fort. The construction is a fine blend of Mughal, Gujarati and Rajput style of architecture. The picturesque courtyards with Anup Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Dungar Mahal, Diwan-e-khas and Ganga Mahal, beautify the fort. Stained glass windows and carved balconies stand over wood fluted columns, while intricately patterned mirrors add a decadent reflection of color to the gold and red painted linings. As the desert sands border the city, it adds to the splendor of your time within the fortress and the streets of Bikaner.
In the afternoon, drive to Jaipur. Upon reaching spend your time at leisure.
Post breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Jaipur airport carrying memories of Rajputana.
