After arriving at the Cape Town international Airport, we will be transferred to the hotel. Resting at the confluence of the Indian and Atlantic Ocean, sandwiched between the slopes of the iconic Table Mountain and the glistening sapphire waters of Table Bay, the exceptionally scenic city of Cape Town is in a class of its own. With its bustling harbour, world-class beaches, top-notch vineyards, and its mountainous surroundings brimming with diverse flora and fauna, Cape Town consistently captivates the hearts of all visitors.
In the evening, proceed to restaurant for dinner and then return back to hotel for good rest before you begin your African adventure.
Wake up in Cape town, where on one side lies Table Mountain, shimmering with the sun's tones as it stands over the city. To another is the Atlantic, where the sun rises from the ocean. After enjoying a sumptuous breakfast proceed on a City tour of Cape Town.
We shall ascend to the majestic 3,560 ft high Table Mountain, which offers the best vantage point to fully appreciate the city. Travel to the mountaintop by revolving cable car (weather permitting) and take in the spectacular panoramic view of mountains and city hemmed in by the waves of the Atlantic and Indian oceans.
Post lunch, visit 'Castle of Good Hope', which is built between 1666 and 1679 by the Dutch East India Company and the oldest existing colonial building in South Africa. Walk in the colorful 'Bo-Kaap' or Cape Malay Quarter.
Enjoy dinner on the way to the hotel and take good rest for exciting drive next day to the Garden route.
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast and warm coffee. Today we will explore the Cape Peninsula, meandering along scenic cliffside highway along the Atlantic and Indian Ocean, to reach famous 'Cape of Good Hope' nature reserve, a World Heritage site. Dip your toes in the Atlantic Ocean at the white sand beach of Cape Point. We will board 'Flying Dutchman Funicular Train' to the lighthouse at 286 meters above sea level. Admire a spectacular view where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans swirl together against a magnificent backdrop. On a clear day it feels like you can see all the way down to Antarctica !
We shall stop at harbor of 'Hout Bay' for an authentic fishing village experience. Look out for some good photography opportunity in backdrop of colorful fishing boats, blue oceans waves and magical sky. It's time venture into sea on glass bottom boat to 'Seal Island' where you will witness an amazing site of majestic 'Cape Fur seals' on a rocky outcropping off the coast. Baby seals are born in early December in beginning of summer here and by April, they learn swimming. It would be a wonderful experience to spot Seal pups with their mothers.
Now it's time to walk with the Penguin at 'Boulders Beach', where a massive colony of jackass penguins live. It is a real thrill to see penguins so close in all their smartly dresses, waddling glory, right under your nose !After a long day we will return back to Cape town and after dinner at restaurant shall proceed to our cozy cocoon and rest.
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, get ready for a drive through the valley in vines, situated on the crest of the spectacular Mountain Pass in the Cape Winelands, one of South Africa's most visually stunning and oldest vineyards. Enjoy a personalized Wine tasting session that will educate you on the fabulous South African wines.
Post lunch, we shall proceed to George, in the stunning Western Cape Province, beneath the magnificent Outeniqua Mountain range, and surrounded by a remarkable blend of rivers, rich farmlands and forests. Upon reaching George check in to hotel and enjoy your evening at leisure.
After enjoying breakfast we shall embark on a spectacular drive over the fertile valley of Swartberg mountains to the amazing Cango Caves, one of the world’s great natural wonders - a subterranean wonderland of magnificent stalactite and stalagmite rock formations, sculpted by nature through the ages. We shall visit, the Cango Wildlife Ranch which promotes awareness and conservation of endangered species, housing the oldest and largest cheetah contact centre worldwide.
The quiet town of Oudtshoorn lies between the majestic mountains of the Klein Karroo and here you can hand-feed ostriches, view the incubators where the ostrich eggs are hatched, and even stand on ostrich eggs when we visit Ostrich Farm !
Later we will return to George to enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
We will begin our day with an early start as we catch morning flight to Johannesburg and then drive to Sun City - a premier holiday resort situated deep in the rugged African bushveld in the heart of an ancient volcano. The sprawling resort has a unique heartbeat and an African rhythm of its own with its glamorous casinos, luxurious hotels, gourmet restaurants and golf courses.
Spend your day leisurely at this magical oasis and enjoy its fun and fantasy. Try your luck at the Sun City Casino or explore the Sun City which is one of the most fascinating design inspired by the myth of a lost African kingdom. It will leave you with the impression that you have in fact encountered a mythical civilization.
Today post breakfast get ready to fill your senses with the charms of the wild. We shall embark on a Big Five safari to spot Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Lion and Leopard at Pilanesberg National Park located in the crater of a long extinct volcano. Admire the spectacular rugged landscapes of lakes, rocky outcrops, open grasslands, wooded valleys and thickets which is home to indigenous wildlife populations of lion, leopard, black and white rhino, elephant and buffalo - Africa's "Big Five". A wide variety of rare and common species exist with endemic species like the nocturnal brown hyaena, the fleet-footed cheetah, the majestic sable, as well as giraffe, zebra, hippo and crocodile, to mention but a few.
After spending extraordinary moments of close encounter with wild animals, return back to sun city and spend your afternoon at leisure.
It's time to leave the fantasyland of Sun City and return back to Johannesburg, we will transfer to the hotel and check in. After enjoying lunch, we will proceed on a Johannesburg city Tour.
Johannesburg is Southern Africa's economic powerhouse and although it is the city of gold there are many attractions aside from mining. Much of the big business has moved from the old town but the fascinating stories and historical buildings remain. We shall visit the Old Constitutional Hill , a prison complex that bears testament to South Africa's turbulent past and tells the story of South Africa’s journey to democracy. Nelson Mandela. Mahatma Gandhi. Joe Slovo. Albertina Sisulu. Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. Fatima Meer - they all were imprisoned and served time here. We shall spend time at Apartheid Museum , that illustrates the rise and fall of apartheid: notorious system of racial discrimination that became synonymous with South Africa from 1948 until 1994.
Its time for Gold Reef City Tour, where we will experience fun, fantasy, historical facts of Johannesburg which is built around a 19th century gold mine, the deepest mine in the world. We shall join a walking heritage tour and will travel down the Gold Mine shaft in a large clangy lift to 720 ft down where you will see traditional gold-panning and a live gold-pour.
Today, post breakfast, we shall say goodbye to South Africa and transfer to the Tambo International Airport for our return flight back to India.
