Board flight/train from your home town to reach Maharana Pratap Airport of Udaipur by afternoon 3:00/3:30 PM or before. From airport we will directly drive with group to the city of lakes - Udaipur. Built by Maharanas of Mewar in the 16th century on the bank of tranquil Lake Pichola with backdrop of Aravalli hills, Udaipur houses some of world’s most influential and majestic architectures. Enjoy city's colorful streets dotted with fantastical palaces, temples, havelis that wane and flow with an intoxicating concoction of old and new, as we proceed to the hotel for check in.
Spend your evening at leisure enjoying the serenity of a beautiful garden called Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of the friends). Spend rest of the evening at leisure, do shopping at local arts and crafts market. return back to hotel for dinner and good sleep.
Post breakfast, we shall visit Eklingji Temple which was built in 734 A.D. by Bappa Rawal to worship four-faced idol of Eklingji (Lord Shiva). Since that time, Eklingji has been the ruling deity of Mewar rulers. The temple is double storied with colossal pyramidal style roof and towers intricately curved in sandstones and marbles.
Post lunch, we shall proceed to Udaipur City Palace which is one of most romantic and fascinating palaces in Rajasthan. It shows a wonderful blend of Medieval, European and Chinese Architecture, a marvelous assortment of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. Stroll through the corridors of royal grandeur - Manak Mahal, Bhim Vilas, Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Chini Chitrashala, Dilkusha Mahal, Rang Bhawan, Mor Chowk. Situated in the premises of City Palace complex, Jagdish Temple is the biggest and most beautiful temple of Udaipur.Enjoy afternoon boat ride on the placid waters of Lake Pichola. While cruising witness the city of Udaipur rising majestically above the lake.
Post breakfast, drive to Chittorgarh Fort, the epitome of Rajput pride, romance and spirit. Chittorgarh Fort is said to have been the capital of the Gahlot and Sisodia kings who ruled Mewar between the eighth and the sixteenth century. The Fort was named after Chittrangad Maurya. Standing on an elevated hill of 180m, the impregnable fort has witnessed three battles and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. This fort has received the credit of being the largest fort of India.
Stroll through the Palace of Rani Padmini, Rana Kumbh, Temple of Mirabai. Hear the stories on sacrifice of Panna Dai, bravery and chivalry of Rajput clans. Admire the architecture excellence of Vijay Stambh, the most impressive structure of the Chittorgarh Fort. It was constructed by Maharana Kumbha to commemorate his victory over Mohammed Khilji in the 15th century. Return back to hotel in Udaipur and enjoy dinner.
As you come out of the luxury of privacy in your dreams, new happy morning brings back the energetic sounds of the city. Post breakfast embark on journey towards breathtaking Dilwara Jain Marble Temple in Mount Abu. It is one of the finest Jain temple for its extraordinary architecture and marvelous marble stone carvings. The temple is also known as 'Vimal Vasahi' and dedicated to the first Tirthankara, Adinath. In the front of the temple stands the 'House of Elephants', with figures of elephants marching in procession to the temple entrance.
Soak yourself in the mesmerizing beauty of the historic temple and then visit Nakki Lake and enjoy your time at leisure. In the afternoon, return back to hotel in Udaipur and enjoy dinner.
As the morning rays welcome new day with a positive thought enjoy the morning meal and gear up to visit Ranakpur, famous for its exquisite white marble Jain Temple. At the foot of a steep wooded escarpment of the Aravalli Hills, Ranakpur is one of India's biggest and most important Jain temple complex.
In the afternoon, visit Kumbhalgarh fort which is the second most important citadel after Chittorgarh in the Mewar region. Cradled in the Aravalli Range the fort was built in the 15th century by Rana Kumbha. Because of its inaccessibility and hostile topography it remained un-conquered. It also served as a refuge for rulers of Mewar during wars and provided shelter to the baby king Udai of Mewar. The fort has the second largest wall in the world after the Great Wall of China and was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. Once the evening sun spread pink glow on the mountains, attend a spectacular light and sound show inside Chittorgarh fort and hear the 'Tales Of Rajput Chivalry'.
In the morning post breakfast, ride all the way to Haldighati, where the Battle of Haldighati was the last pitched battle fought by the MahaRana Pratap against the Mughals. The place gives a nostalgic feeling as this was the same place where Chetak, the heroic mount of Rana Pratap, breathed his last after leaving his master to a safe place. Proceed back to Udaipur and spend your evening at leisure.
Post breakfast, check out from hotel and with group proceed to Udaipur airport carrying memories of Rajputana.
